The Western areas of Karmanaskis are having a busy fire season. A combination of strong winds and high temperatures are taking a heavy toll. Just about every helicopter and water-bomber in the Country is working dawn to dusk to save life and reduce damage in the effected areas. As of Saturday night there are 103 wildfires in the West of the Country, about half are out of control.

The KDF is on standby and several local Militia Units are already involved coordinating with Government and emergency services. There is also a renewed call for a bigger water-bomber fleet.
